Essentially, the plasma HDTV is a video monitor that uses millions of tiny fluorescent lights of various colors that make an image in high definition format. Also, with plasma HDTV you are assured of getting a slim TV set that doesn’t weigh very much. It can be hung from a wall and is easily placed in most living rooms.

There are a number of big name manufacturers making plasma HDTV’s. Panasonic is one of them, and has recently come out with their newest version that they claim will provide superior performance over competitors. The model is called the Panasonic TH-50PH9UK 50" plasma HDTV.

According to many experts and Panasonic, this plasma HDTV is certainly going to impress, and it is sure to improve on the quality of picture found in previous models. In terms of color accuracy, its CMS or Color Management System is supposed to be superior to that of competing models. Of course it is a bit pricey at about four thousand dollars which may still turn out to be a good investment considering the improvements.
