Sony HDTV Reviews

If you look at Sony HDTV reviews, you’ll note that the Sony HDTVs with the biggest screens get the best ratings. Consumers who get large screen Sony HDTVs are happier with their purchase than consumers who buy the smaller version.
If you are thinking about buying a Sony HDTV, the bigger the better. The screen size is going to give you the bigger picture and you’re more likely to be satisfied than if you buy a smaller HDTV unit.
It makes a lot of sense, so take a look at some recent Sony HDTV reviews. These reviews are about the highest-rated Sony HDTV models, which include 40, 50, 60, and 70 inch screens.
Sony KDF 46E2000 46″ Projection HDTV
This model Sony HDTV is currently the highest-rated on amazon.com. Of 15 reviews, 12 reviewers, or 80%, gave it a five-star rating.
J. McIntyre of Iowa City, Iowa, liked the accuracy of the color reproduction and the deep black levels. He noted that the on-screen navigation menus were very easy to use, and found the system was also great for video games. The Xbox he used with it also performed well.
The KDF46E2000 is a rear projection TV, and J. McIntyre experienced some problems with what is commonly referred to as the “silk screen effect” with it. The silk screen effect causes a shimmer on the screen when bright, pure colors are displayed. This can be a problem on any projection TV. But it didn’t keep Mr. McIntyre from awarding this Sony HDTV a five-star rating.
Other High Rated Sony Projection Models
The second and third highest rated sets on amazon.com are big screen TVs. The second-place rating went to the Sony KDS-R70XBR2, which has a 70 inch screen. Third place goes to the Sony KF60WE610 model, which has a 60 inch screen. Both are rear projection models.
Sony KDL-40V2500 40″ Bravia LCD HDTV
This is Sony’s highest rated non-projection TV. It’s a popular set, considering that it only has a 40 inch screen.
Sonya Giniger rated it with five stars. She said she was impressed by the excellent picture quality on the LCD, especially compared to a plasma model. Because many reviewers are comparing HDTV to an old analog TV picture, they are naturally surprised by high definition quality.
